Our Story

Take Potluck opened to the Jindabyne community and its visitors in winter 2017.

In February 2019, the business was purchased by Nic Davoli who is also the owner of the most popular bike shop in the Snowy Mountains - Sacred Ride. With his Swiss French background and his involvement in various businesses in the region for the past 30 years, Nic has a deep understanding of what his customers need and also what the region is missing in terms of good quality, fresh street food. Being very family and community oriented, Nic aims to provide a safe and soul comforting area that is like no other in the Snowies.

How we continue to roll

What a wonderful community recipe our staff have created! So much so, that the menu has been deliciously expanded and welcomed by our ever-increasing Take Potluck tribe. Add Nic’s love for good food at a great price plus an awesome bike shop Sacred Ride next door and you can see why this vision continues to inspire Take Potluck’s menus and its customers. Take Potluck’s aim is to throw together a wonderful mix of fresh ingredients to create daily surprises for our valued customers. Our team will continue to surprise you one pot at a time!

New initiatives for Take Potluck

In 2019 we introduced live music events whilst keeping with our goal of serving happiness and good times without alcohol.

Take Potluck fundraises for various causes and 100% of the money raised goes direct to the beneficiary. We have committed to the Disabled Wintersports Association and have sponsored their Winterfun’d event raising money for essential equipment for Disabled Winter Sports participants.

We realise each customer’s experience is unique and have made our entertainment and dining area more friendly. Take Potluck now has undercover shaded areas with comfortable seating in a variety of choices.The pallet lounges are really something to be seen to be believed.

Our resident pets, including Dexter the sausage dog, will always welcome you with a happy bark.

Children are encouraged and you’re more than welcome to bring your parents - as long as they behave!

We have a range of games and magazines to keep you entertained and, every now and again, you may just be surprised with Juergen playing his didjeridoo, Rick playing his keyboard or Dave playing his electric or acoustic guitar. While you’re here, be sure to try out your musical skills playing Dave’s Feel Good tank drum.

Summer Fun

This summer, keep your eye out for our Sacred full moon rides. We have 2 destinations in mind: a full moon ride to Mount Kosciuszko or Hatchery Bay. Riders are supported by experienced guides and mechanics from Sacred Ride and supper is provided at Take Potluck served with refreshments locally sourced from the Snowy Mountains region.
